Your personalised UK Diet Club meal plan and shopping list will be designed to help you reach a healthy weight for your height, taking into account your lifestyle and food preferences.

Your meal plan will be based on three main meals and a snack every day and will help you to learn about healthy eating and the importance of controlling portion sizes if you want to lose weight. We offer a variety of meal plans including low fat plans, vegetarian plans and low Gi plans. As soon as you register your plan will be available for you to read online and print.

Our service is discreet and convenient, it allows you to weigh yourself at home once a week and then enter your weight into your online account for your new weekly plan. You can log in when it suits you and there are no inconvenient public meetings or embarrassing weigh-ins. Manage your diet in your own time from the comfort of your own home.

Fitness advice for you

Exercise, in combination with healthy eating, will help you achieve the results you want. All members have access to our animated instructor, designed to show you how to perform key toning exercises. You can also sign up for our personalised fitness programme, which will help you design an exercise routine that’s suitable for your fitness level, exercise preferences and equipment.

Get support when you need it

We have loads of ways for you to get great support - do tell us how you are getting on. Our online support groups are open 24 hours a day so you can get the encouragement you need to succeed when you need it. Chat with other members, create your own circle of friends, join in online meetings or email the UK Diet Club team for support and motivation.

An effective way to eat healthy

Scientific studies have found that internet weight loss services are as effective as traditional meetings. A study published last year found that people following an internet-based weight maintenance programme showed weight loss equivalent to those people who continued to attend face-to-face meetings (Obesity Research, 2004; 12:320-329).

A further study (JAMA, 2001; 285:1172-1177) found that people who had received a structured weight loss programme through the internet achieved a 5% reduction in weight over a six month period. The programme included email newsletters, a discussion forum and individualised email feedback from a trained therapist, a model very similar to the UK Diet Club programme.
